Hello friends!

We are your hosts at Haus Patricia.

Welcome!

Melinda from Hungary

Melinda comes from Budapest, Hungary, and has always been a big fan of Austria and Germany – she learned to ski on Austrian slopes at a young age, learned German at school, and even spent two semesters in Germany during her studies. She is an enthusiastic nature lover: hiking, cycling, snowboarding, and more recently, cross-country skiing and snowshoeing. She feels right at home here in the small village of Lofer.

In her free time, she enjoys baking cakes or farmhouse bread and making jams and syrups for guests.

Kevin from the USA

As a child, Kevin's family lived in various places because his Texan father was in the military. Kevin lived in Europe for the past 30 years, working for various companies, before coming to Austria. He loves that his job is no longer desk-bound but involves a lot of physical activity, as he is the caretaker and gardener at Patricia's house. Like a good "Minion," he also helps with daily chores, such as preparing breakfast and cleaning the rooms.

In his free time he likes to work in his "workshop", where he carries out maintenance and renovation work on the house and builds or renovates furniture.

We came across Haus Patricia and decided to trade our office jobs for running this cozy little guesthouse in beautiful Lofer. We took over the guesthouse at the end of 2014 and haven't regretted it.

We run the B&B as a team of two. This means that we are the only ones who personally and online welcome and look after our guests, prepare breakfast, and handle the daily tasks such as cleaning, shopping, and all maintenance ourselves. It's a lot of work, but we love it!

And when we have free time, we still enjoy the beauty of our region, discover places we can tell our guests about, or try new things so we can pass them on to you (culinary delights, experiences, new paths, etc.).

We are constantly thinking about how we can improve our services and enhance the experience of our guests.
